How can I tell if I'm using a "fake" version of Firefox or not?

Hey there! I was just reading an article that said you should only download Firefox from the official website. I downloaded Firefox a few months ago, so I'm honestly not sure where I downloaded it from. Is there any way for me to tell if I am using a "real" Firefox?

Thanks :)

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems.

There are websites that do give you the real programs you want. But there are other sites that try to trick you.

If you are not sure, go to the website of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to https://www.mozilla.org

UPDATE: I decided to uninstall and re-install firefox from mozilla.org- just to be safe.
