Problem with Sync: all bookmarks and passwords lost

I changed computer. I tried to sign in to my Firefox account but I forgot my password. I changed it, no problem. But once I logged in and tried to Sync, nothing was there, like it was a new account. I closed and tried again but same thing: no bookmark, nothing. I am on Windows 10. Do you guys know how I can recover all my information (bookmarks, passwords, etc)? Thank you,

Yeah, I found out about this the hard also. I don't like their policy, but here it is.  ;-(
