Hi, can anyone help me out with two questions? 1. When I exit Firefox, a message always comes up saying that Firefox has crashed when all I've done is quit. 2. If I have Firefox open for more than a few hours, it won't let me save open tabs to my library until I quit and restart. Thanks for any advice.

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox Title bar.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

It is possible that you have memory issues (i.e. Firefox uses too much memory).

Are you using Sync ?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
