Preferences not save if Firefox not in Applications folder (Mac Mojave)

I put my applications in SubFolders inside Applications folder. Firefox was in one of them. Each time I quit it, my preferences settings were lost, and I had to reconnect to my Firefox account. Since I put Firefox in Applications folder (not in a subfolder) it works. I think it should work even in a subfolder.
