Hi not sure if this may have to do with Xsolla who apparently manages the reciept emails for robux but last month we started having problems paying for robux in firefox. The purchase page loaded the upper elements but the parts of the page where you put in the credit card info would not load in firefox. That part of the page showed only the background colour. So we had to switch to opera or edge in order to purchase the robux. This happened in firefox on both a mac os mojave and separtely on a windows 10 machine as well. Many thanks, Phil

[Edit: I accidentally clicked on the "this solved my problem" button in my first support email but it was the second reply by cor-el that came closer to solving it. Not sure how to change this]

We have seen more reports that Roblox currently isn't working properly in Firefox and this looks like an issue that Roblox need to fix on their end by their developers.

Just to be sure.

You can check the Web Console for possible messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hi cor-el:

Thanks for your reply!

I think I tried everything you requested but still had the same problem with roblox not fully loading in the https://www.roblox.com/games <https://www.roblox.com/games> page.

All the best,

Phil

The reported issues with Roblox and some other websites appear to be caused by a problem with using a custom protocol handler to launch an external application.

As a workaround for now you can set this pref to true on the about:config page.

  • security.allow_disjointed_external_uri_loads = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

The Roblox Webpage seems to be loading fully again (haven't tried the payment page though) but now the Roblox Application fails to launch when I click on the green button shown in the attached screenshot. Perhaps a problem with my OS (Mac OS Mojave)?
