FIREFOX VIEWING TAB TO BE HIGHLIGHTED

more options

HELP, I now use Firefox, and have had a look at many, many TAB add-ons, but they do too much. ALL I WANT To Do is CHANGE THE COLOR of the opened TAB so it is highlighted, and is easily spotted when there are numerous Tabs Opened. HELP I have tried too many ADD-ONS, & they either do too much &/or are too complicated. HELP, PLEASE..

& Thank You, In Advance.

That blue bar at the top of the Tab which is in 'focus' and being displayed isn't enough to identify it?

You could use this extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/focus-popup/

Or look thru this AMO search for one that suits your needs:

My request is a very SIMPLE one. The opened & CURRENTLY using TAB should be BETTER HIGHLIGHTED, best done by using a DIFFERENT TAB Color.. Having all the Tabs the same color makes it harder to find the OPENED TAB, to close for example.

Thanks For the suggestions to date.

Sure it may seem simple, but you are already modifying Firefox from the default "Tabs on Top" to having the Tab strip below the Bookmarks Toolbar. So if you want to keep the mods done via your optional userChrome.css file and don't want to try "fixing that" by using an add-on, how about looking for a "fix" from the original source of that Tab strip modification?

IMO, the most used source for userChrome.css mods for Firefox:
