There is a blank window when external apps open Firefox to open a link.

If I do not have Firefox running and use a launcher like Alfred, Launchbar, etc. to open a link, it will open Firefox and open a window with the link. However, it will also open a blank window that it keeps in the background. If I turn on Session Restore and do the same thing, it will open the previous session and open the link from the launcher in a new tab of that session. However, it will still open the blank window in the background.

My question is how do I stop it from opening the blank window and only open the window/tab with the link from the launcher?
