how to restore many tabs from a recent, but not immediately last, session I had to close to restart Firefox

When I reopened Firefox after the restart (needed to deal with another problem), I saw no option to restore my tabs - 50 showing articles I want to read and archive. Library/History/Recently Closed Tabs does not list any of the tabs I seek and, alas, the replies I see here to similar questions don't help either. Perhaps I shouldn't have started a new session after the restart with a few tabs I manually entered - but I did. I last used the session with the multiple tabs just a few hours ago. Is what I want to do now not possible? My Firefox browser is up to date (70.0.1). Thanks.
