Both systems are Debian10. I have tried everything I have found by searching the net and nothing works. No matter what I do the new 64 bit FF (60.9.0) will not recognize anything in the profile that I copy over from the old 32 bit FF (60.8.0).

Firefox uses profiles.ini to find profile folders registered in this file, so make sure the profile is listed in this file. If you didn't copy profiles.ini then you can edit the current profiles.ini or use "Choose Folder" in the Profile Manager to register a not listed profile.

There is normally no difference between 32-bit and 64-bit Firefox. With Firefox 60 ESR this should work without problems, but if you copy a full profile folder content to another profile than there is a chance that something goes wrong because some file may contain absolute file paths that link to the old profile.

Note that Firefox 67 and later can use a dedicated profile for each Firefox version and each update channel and will lock the profile to this installation, so it can only be used by Firefox installed in a specific folder.
