set Firefox portable as default browser

more options

I want to set Firefox Portable as my default browser. It's been updated to the latest version.

I've tried the method described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser

The problem is that Firefox isn't listed as an option on the drop down menu. Maybe that's because I'm using Portable, rather than the installed version.

Resetting to Microsoft recommended defaults doesn't help.

Most likely it is because it is the portable one, and the info here suggest this too: https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable. But anyway, I'd contact the developer with this issue, as Firefox Portable is not supported by Mozilla in any way.

"Firefox Portable is not supported by Mozilla in any way."

It isn't? Who is making it, then, if not Mozilla?

As I stated in the OP, I've tried it. It lists several browsers to choose as my default. Firefox isn't on the list.

AFAIK PortableApps package and support these. This is their support forum: https://portableapps.com/forums/support/firefox_portable
