Webpages won't load unless refreshed multiple times and/or browser is restarted multiple times

I have this issue with Firefox for a while now, where whatever webpage I may try to load (including www.google.com) will not load sometimes unless I close the tab and open it again and reinput the address or just refresh many times or sometimes it won't work unless I close and restart Firefox several times. At this time, I literally simply even gave up trying to open the Firefox support page in Firefox and installed Chrome for the first time in order to submit this ticket.

I have no special settings for Firefox (basically I use everything is it comes after a fresh install) and I have tried running it both with and without the two extensions I have installed with no change in how Firefox works (or doesn't really, lately)

What's your computer system and Firefox version?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Content Blocking. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature:

Thank you very much for your continued assistance.

I've just tried the solution you proposed but unfortunately there was no fix. I can't shake the feeling that this is something inside Firefox that's going bonkers.

I have had this issue before a long long time ago (when I was using a different computer), then it was fixed by an update (also on that other computer) and now, since the next to last update I'm having this issue again.

I don't know if this will help, but;

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Note: Check Both Folders

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

Do Not remove any profile folders.
