Hello: The above error occurs at every boot of an up to date Arch linux system. `systemctl` spams my `syslog` with (complete error message):

firefox.desktop[1772]: [Parent 1772, Gecko_IOThread] WARNING: pipe error (67): Connection reset by peer: file /build/firefox/src/mozilla-unified/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 357

I have no idea about what it may be. Booting involves launching mozilla firefox automatically and along with it opening multiple tabs inherited from the last session. Any help welcome. -ced.

Am using openSUSE Leap 15.0 GNOME

Viewing similar error messages.

This or similar issue reported in linux forums.

Am thinking they may relate to memory changes or TAB numbers when close browser, appears fewer open TAB then fewer messages.

Can try closing each extra TAB before exit, then restart, to see if fewer errors.

Can try change Preferences Home Page and Window setting so opens with blank screen, to see if fewer errors.

Found earlier when change settings to single TAB browser it opens quicker, with BLANK screen even faster.

Thanks @paulparker. For me generally speaking, closing tabs before exiting Firefox is not an option. I constantly have a churn of open tabs when I finish the day. Someimtes they are only 2 tabs, sometimes 10, sometimes 40.

What I would like is for someone (a developper probably or someone who knows the code source ) to have a look at file /build/firefox/src/mozilla-unified/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 357.
