Firefox stores the header and footer image files of the currently selected lightweight theme in the profile folder. The image files of other installed lightweight theme are loaded from the server when you select a different theme via "Add-ons -> Themes". Installed lightweight themes are stored in the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref in about:config and in the prefs.js file in the profile folder in JSON format. The first theme in the pref is the currently selected lightweight theme.

The images of the currently selected lightweight theme are stored in the lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer files in the Firefox profile folder. If you select a theme then Firefox resizes the two lightweighttheme images and store the modified files in the lwtheme folder in the profile folder, so if you would replace theme images manually then you need to clear the lwtheme folder. When you select another theme then its images are retrieved from the Add-ons server. So you can keep a backup of the value of this pref to be able to restore the themes or at least have its name and URL. You can bookmark the Addons page where you installed the lightweight theme. Note that it isn't guaranteed that themes will stay available on the server.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
