What's your computer system and Firefox version?

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is the exact error messages?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

As noted, I've been using FF for years. Another person has posted a similar issue today. I've already checked all relevant settings... antivirus, firewall, recognized programs. It simply will not load web pages - sometimes I get PART of the text on the page... no CSS styles and can't click any shown links. Directly following re-installation it opened 2 websites and then stopped working again. I have zero addons installed. I'm on chrome right now.

Ok. Let's get away from the "Another person has posted a similar issue today". Not all problems are the same two problems.

When you reinstalled did you uninstall all firefox and deleted Mozilla folder?

Uninstalled and deleted.

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I read through all of those articles before posting.

Please share a link to report a problem with FF.

Let's work on this a little longer first.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Safe mode doesn't help.

Ready to give up. Can't do anything in firefox. Other browsers are zooming along.

The one feature I liked in firefox was the master password. sigh. I needed firefox because I'm a web designer and like to view pages in various browsers.

I asked for a link to report this.
