Browsing History deleted after unistalling Firefox Developers Edition

I installed Firefox Developer Edition yesterday ( While having normal Firefox too), and today I decided to delete it since I wanted to install an older version of it. After I uninstalled it, I noticed that it removed all my Normal Firefox history (all-time history). The bookmarks were deleted only from yesterday, the others were still here. I tried using the Restore option in the Library but no avail.

Now, I had only 4-5 bookmarks from yesterday so that's not important as the history is, because all the other 200 bookmarks are still there. Passwords, logged in websites are still here. Only history is missing.

I opened the folder where places.sqlite is, and there are 4 files with places.sqlite. 1.places.sqlite 2.places.sqlite.corrupt 3.places.sqlite-shm 4.places.sqlite-wal

I know some people restore it with the corrupt file, which I tried renaming it to "places.sqlite" but that got me to no history at all

Can I restore my history and how? And tell me if it's possible to restore those 4-5 bookmarks or they are in the places.sqlite file too?.

Also in the Mozilla profiles folder, there are 2 profiles. One is xxxxx.default and the other one is xxxxx.dev-edition-default. Now I guess the one is for the normal firefox and the other one is for the developer edition.

Let me know. Thank you!
