Very recently when clicking to show all bookmarks or history, a second window pops up with headers but no content. When I go to book a new page, Firebox knows the tags I previously created.

I tried a restore of bookmarks, which failed.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, you are using v54.0.1 so you really should update to the latest version 61.0.2 To update it, you can press the Alt key to bring up the main menu bar > Help > About Firefox. If it still won't update, you can download the latest version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

If you use Flash, that also needs updating - https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ - take care to deselect any optional offers!

If for some reason you don't want to update, hold down the Shift key when you start Firefox to start in Safe Mode. More - Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If it works in Safe Mode, disable any theme or extensions you have - 3-bar menu > Add-ons > Themes/Extensions and restart Firefox; then if it's OK, re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit. You may need to restart Firefox after enabling some extensions.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!
