In response to the "Firefox seems slow in startup...." I reloaded Firefox. Now I do not have my startup tabs and can't see the option to set them any more.

When refreshed you set it back to being clean including your Profile where all those settings are kept.

You will have to reset every thing backup again. You do not mention any missing Bookmarks which is rather strange as a refresh usually wipes them out also.

No idea what your Home Page was or if you were using default Home Page with Tiles. Setting it backup without tiles is in Options --> Home Change right side drop down to use Custom instead of Default. or

HI, do not know what you did ? A Refresh ? Please explain and provide it in detail that possibly uses more than 2 lines.

Hi, thanks for taking the trouble to reply. There was nothing complicated, Firefox (as it occasionally does) reported that startup was taking longer than expected and asked if i wanted to refresh/reload. (which would lose any add-ons, but this was not a problem as I have none). I clicked ok and it went away and did whatever and I continued yesterday as normal with my always open tabs. Restart this morning just gave me Firefox default home page and Options does not list ' set current tabs to be home page' Such a basic thing, but I can't see my way back to where I want to be, so help would be appreciated.

Thanks! That's solved my problem. Although not intuitive, the answer was simple enough even if I couldn't see it. I think that can go down as 'operator error'! BTW, I didn't lose my bookmarks, but it now seems a good idea to export them to another browser, just in case......... Thanks again
