need help to make bookmarks side bar more visible

more options

Been away from computer for quite a while, and, being a rather novice at "changing" things on the computer coupled with the fact I'm older than MOST of you nice folks, I need an easy, quick(if possible), and not too technical way to make the bookmarks sidebar a different color as my sight is limited at times. Right now the bookmarks have a white background and grey letters which make it hard to see where the bar that highlights the actual bookmark is...is that clear...? When you scroll down the list there is a VERY light grey bar that supposed to show you the current bookmark in use, but there is not enough contrast with the present colors to be easily visible.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated. I've tried doing searches all over, but most of them are out of date. I am running the very latest ver. of FF with the only add-ons being a Star Wars theme and Ad-Block and Bitwarden.

Kind Regards, unclepine

Well...sorta helpful...LOL...! I somehow managed to create this thing called a userChrome.css file and saved that via Windows notepad. I guess what I need now is something to "paste" there that will give me the changes I need to the bookmarks drop down...?

You should have asked this in your previous question that you still had open and had replies to.

Will ask some one to look at this.

Please continue where you left off a month ago in your other thread. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1220199#answer-1119005 Just scroll down to my last posting there where I mentioned to importance of the chrome folder and the userChrome.css file being named correctly, that is where many people create an error. The context of both the folder and file name has to be correct or Firefox won't use them.

Yes, this is a royal pain but with Quantum using the userChrome.css file is the only way to achieve the desired results.
