yellow bar is preventing pages from loading

more options

I get a yellow bar all the time that is preventing pages from loading, it is always prompting me saying a page or script is running slowly do I want to wait or abort.. This is poping up in far less time than it usually takes any webpage to load with any browser on my system. I have stupid windows 8.1... I would prefer 7 as it is easier to use, but there is little that I can do about that other than wipe the disk and put linux on it.

Anyways, how do I give that yellow bar a REASONABLE wait time about 30 seconds instead of a few miliseconds?

You can set the time before this bar displays by doing the following:

  1. Type about:config in your Firefox address bar
  2. Bypass the safety warning
  3. Search for the dom.max_script_run_time integer
  4. Change the value to 20

If that doesn't help, you may want to refer to the Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it documentation.
