Hi. I had to reinstall my laptop OS, so I also reinstalled Firefox. I excpected, as in past experiences, to have my bookmarks, add on, cache data back, but all data was lost. Is there any chance those data are somewhere and can be retrievable? Thanks in advance for the support. Regards, Francesco

Improper use of Sync, which is intended to synchronize Firefox across multiple devices.

Sync is fraught with peril with no other device connected to Sync. If or when the user happens to change the Firefox Account Password, all that user's data is wiped from the Sync server. A different password can't decrypt data that was encrypted by the original password, which renders the data worthless due to that encryption.

If that OS re-installation created a Windows.old file, you might find your old Firefox Profile in that Windows.old file / folder.
