Possible replacement for Password Exporter?
I've been using Password Exporter by Justin Scott for some years now, and with the release of Quantum is completely breaks the addon. I don't know if Justin is working on it anymore, but there's been no sign of any update or update info from him.
I actually downgraded back to the last known version that worked with his addon because there's nothing like it anywhere (that I can find) on the addon marketplace. Same goes for a few of my other addons, but those are not as detrimental as the Password Exporter. The level of usefulness and intuitiveness has not been matched by anything else. So while I hope that Justin does update it, I am not holding my breath.
Does anyone know of a alternative to this addon that works with Quantum?

There is LastPass and Keepass of which the later I use since I can store all my login and pswd on a USB and use the program to access my site directly to the login url without having to type them in. So there are options you have to look for them.
Don't know if this utility works with Firefox 58 (logins.json and key4.db).
In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Not only do I see you post this everytime someone asks something in regards to passwords, it doesn't even contribute to this conversation. I didn't ask about recovering passwords or stating I had lost all of mine.
This just feels like blatant spam with how much I've already seen you post this same exact post repeatedly.

I've been using LastPass for years because for a $24 annual fee I can sync my passwords across multiple devices, Samsung Galaxy, iPad, Macbook and Dell Windows PC inside and outside of browsers.

Looks like Lastpass requires you to signup and use a alternate user account. That's not really something I trust. The password manager I mentioned before is free, and needs no other user account or registration.
Any other suggestions?
I started with LastPass Free and moved to LastPass Premium in 2012. with the exception of the Firefox plugin overhaul, I've enjoyed having my passwords on my PC, Mac, iPad, Samsung Galaxy on one account for $12 annually so far. I can't beat the convenience. There are second factor options for that extra layer of security should someone get the master password. I strongly advise you to use it, no matter what product you choose.
No, I did not need to register another account to go from Free to Premium. My subscription is via PayPal, no credit card info to worry about.
LP has not broken my trust all that time.
So I have an answer that works and has basically given me no problems over the past six years. I'm not in the business of testing other managers outside of what I use. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
So I'll leave it to the satisfied customers of other password managers to give you their take on what they use.

As far as LastPass goes, with it being hacked online back in June 2015 I sure as hell wouldn't trust it!
Unfortunately, Quantum & WebExtensions just don't have the capability to do what Password Exporter by Justin Scott did as a Legacy extension. Not sure if it is due to an API not existing (yet?) for that type of feature or if Mozilla doesn't want that type of feature available any longer. I miss being able to use Password Exporter, and haven't tried using PasswordFox yet as I haven't fully transitioned to Quantum just quite yet with all my Profiles; just haven't needed it so far.

That doesn't really spell a lot of confidence in their business, and makes me less interested in using the addon if it means my info will be hacked and stolen.

Hi there I attempted to use FF Password Exporter. I have FF 56.2.1 This dialogue box came up; Error Key4.db was not found in parent directory. What do I need to do to remedy this situation as I am in the process of upgrading from Win 7 pro to Win 10 Pro and wast to save my passwords on a USB just in case the upgrade doesn't go well. Need to explain step by step as I am a newbie at this Thanks

FF Password Exporter only supports Firefox 58 and greater with Key4.db . I mentioned this in the original post above...

In Firefox 56 you should still be able to use the Legacy extension.
