Why are all my fonts and text wider and larger now ?
My fonts and text are larger and wider and I can't fix it through control panel or any other PC tools I have used. I have tried everything, even system recovery. It restores it back to normal temporarily and then when the "new and improved" Firefox kicks in it distorts everything again !!

Check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode. You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
You can also try the 32-bit Firefox version. You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (57.0.1) in all languages and all operating systems here:
