hi, the following steps should bring you back to the bookmarking structure you're familiar with :))
- click on the library icon and go to bookmarks > bookmarking tools > add bookmarks menu to the toolbar.
- now when you click the icon that's newly appearing on the toolbar, you'll get to the same bookmarks menu like in earlier versions...
I appreciate the help, but it did NOT fix my problem, not all bookmarks are there, plus i had them in a special order, and those that are there are all jumbled up...i'd say there are about 15 or 20 missing
Do you have a places.sqlite.corrupt file in the profile folder?
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created
