Video playback causing 100% GPU usage in Firefox 57 beta

I am having an issue with the Firefox 57 beta (present in 0b7 and 0b8). Watching YouTube videos will trigger locked 100% GPU usage, which persists even after closing Firefox and can only be fixed by restarting my system. I'm guessing this is an issue with VP9 decoding. It seems to only happen on AMD GPUs -- I've found two other people with the same problem, both with RX 480s:

I myself am running an RX 470 with the 17.10.1 drivers, but the problem also existed on 17.9.3. I've tried resetting my Firefox profile and creating a new profile. The only thing right now that seems to prevent it is setting the "media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled" value to false.

Can anyone else corroborate this issue and perhaps help file a bug report if it is confirmed?
