I've been having a lot of crashes lately with Firefox Developer edition, most notably on pages with interactive elements, animation, and videos. I've tried refreshing Firefox, disabling all add-ons, updating Firefox, updating Windows, updating my graphics drivers, and running Firefox in safe mode. Below are some of the crash reports I've sent in the past week.

You can try to set this pref to false on the about:config page.

  • media.windows-media-foundation.allow-d3d11-dxva = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I've updated all my drivers that had updates, still having tabs crash.

No luck here either, set it to false and tabs are still crashing.

Something else I've noticed, if I scroll too fast, I can see that the page hasn't fully rendered and the screen is completely white, then the tab will crash.
