Hello all. Firefox was running slow so I did the refresh and restore as directed. Now I notice that I have no more bookmarks like I did before. When I follow the instructions from the Troubleshooting Information and find my profile it will not open. When I find the places.sqfile, also will not open. When I find the bookmarks......jsonlz file, I cannot open it. Do I need some kind of extension? Are the bookmarks obviously lost for good? Am I looking in the wrong place? There seems like there should be an easy solution to this however when I root around for answers I just get more lost. I appreciate any help. Thanks! Best, dcb

Refreshing Firefox {web link} is a LAST RESORT ! !

Refreshing Firefox -- easily fix most problems

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks and open tabs. Everything else, like user settings and add-ons, are removed.
