Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 23.0.0.185 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.637

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

I have everything up to date. plus like I said it's not happening on only one PC but all three I have in the house. All for different purposes so not all of them having the same set up. I can not test the problem in safe mode because it comes and goes. Which is why I disappeared, because I had some peace for some weeks but it's back again. It's even worse sometimes. The only thing I have noticed which I think might be significant is that; when I go to a certain website, even google, it takes long time before it tells me the page can't be loaded. After a few refresh button hits, sometimes as much as half a dozen, it finally loads. now if I open the same site on a new tab or window, it opens with no problem. Try another website, then I have to go through the same process. As much as I like firefox, and have used it exclusively for about a decade, this is just driving me crazy. Need solution now.

A security update just came out. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version 50.0.2

Sometimes problems like that are caused by your protection programs.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.

Firefox is up to date. I just checked. And I use different antivirus software on all three, avast, AVG and ESET. Have tried everything short of a clean install. And I don't wanna do that because I have a whole of set up I have done through the years to fit my use. I don't know if I can replicate them again if I cleaned it all up.

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And one folder in the profile of each user on the computer.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user folders would not be affected.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

This is just completely useless. I'm not getting any real solutions here. When the browser starts messing up on 3 separate computers with 3 different settings including the anti-virus, it's obviously a goddamn software issue, and not a PC issue. So I'm done and will start the migration to another browser. Thanks for nothing.
