When ever there is a new version of Firefox my list of sites that can use pop ups i erased. My settings is not persistent. How can this be fixed?

After every new version of Firefox I have to manually add all sites that can use pop ups. It's the only setting that I know of that must be handled this way. All other settings are persistent.

I use Firefox on Linux/Xubuntu 14.04.
