Firefox 46.0.1. I am trying to get Firefox to remember login details. However I cannot find a logins.json file. The key3.db file is there.

Chosen solution

The logins.json file should be there. You will have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files.

If you still can't find it, remove the key3.db file. New files should be created.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
