Cortana no longer uses Firefox when searching the web from Windows 10 start menu

more options

Around April, Microsoft patched Cortana to no longer direct websearches to third party browsers. Now instead it directs to Edge and exclusively Bing.

I was wondering if there is a plan for a workaround for this search feature to be reenabled for Firefox or if all hope is lost.
