Chosen solution

You can find the extensions on the about:addons page (Tools > Add-ons or the Add-ons button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list). There is probably a language item present in the menu bar at the left side that shows the en-US language pack I mentioned.

Did you install this language pack yourself?

What Firefox locale (user interface language are you using)?

How did you get the update notice? Could it be a fake?

Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Then Help > About Firefox will tell you what version have and check for updates.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

This is the message I received. Again, I thank u!!!!!

Some of your add-ons won't work with this up-date and will be disabled.

Also, I used Print screen to send to u, how do I paste this in here? Tried Control V.

I see in the crash report that you have installed the en-US language pack, so maybe that is causing this alert.

  • langpack-en-US@firefox.mozilla.org

You can always reinstall the en-US language pack or do the opposite and install the en-US version and install language packs of other languages for the user interface that you need.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (46.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:

You can look here for dictionaries and language packs:

Addons is a general term that groups together the separate Extensions, Plugins, Themes (complete and image), search engines, dictionaries, language packs. The term started back during Firefox 2.0/3.0 days as everything was separate before.

A lot of these are found at the hosting site addons.mozilla.org where the vast majority of Extensions and Themes are by a third-party author(s) or company and not Mozilla as author.

Extensions https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/

Complete Themes https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/complete-themes/

Themes (more like toolbar background images at best) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/themes/

Dictionaries & Language Packs https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

search engines and tools. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search-tools/

Search engines can also be installed from http://mycroftproject.com/

A lot of newer users incorrectly refer to Addons as only referring to Extensions.

What Extensions are being disabled as chances are there are updates since. Most extensions do not need to be updated to be compatible with each new major Firefox Release though.

When you are replying there is a Add images: Browse button below reply box that you can then find the image and open to insert. It will be a thumbnail image to full size.

HI, thanks for reply. I did not install myself. Found out that what is installed is English (US) Language Pack. States: not compatible with FF 46.0 How do I choose another language that is compatible?

If you only need the en-US Firefox version then you can uninstall (remove) that language pack and install the en-US Firefox version.
