New Sign-In email re: Firefox / Register Mozilla Support
Problem 1) I received an email stating "New sign-in to Firefox." I didn't change anything. Is this legit? The only thing that I did is as follows: on my Windows 10 machine, Firefox periodically disconnects from Sync. This is very annoying. So I did have to enter my Firefox password into the Sync connection dialogue box, but it immediately connected. So what's changed? Or is the email erroneous or is it a scam?
Problem 2) I tried every email address and username that I know I've used on Mozilla Support and every possible password that i would have used and NOTHING worked. I had to create a new Mozilla Support ID which is very frustrating when I'm trying to find out if I'm being scammed or my Firefox account is being hacked. So, what's the deal?

hi bob, the behaviour you're seeing there is new & legitimate. for security reasons you will receive an email every time someone (you in this case) logs into sync via that firefox account, so you can be aware of activity that isn't originating from you.
regarding the issues you had logging into this site, i'm not sure if we are able to help. if you known the mail address you have used to sign up before, you could start at https://support.mozilla.org/users/forgot-username to trigger the recovery process...
Thanks, that seems to explain it .
As for the password, I did try to recover usernames using my email addresses and did not receive any email responses. But I KNOW that I signed up with at least one of them, and I know for certain at least two of the usernames because when I tried to register a new account, two of the names were taken and in 20-ish years of being online, I am the ONLY one who ever uses those user names (really).
