If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

Thank you FredMcD but I have a 10 year old pc running on Windows XP; I have a different system to your links so it doesn't help.

Maybe try an older Flash version and see if the Flash 18.0.0.268 ESR version is working for you, see the link further down.

Did you try to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin?

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and hardware acceleration in Firefox and try this:
