Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash.

OK, I tried all that, and the old plug-in is still there. I can't see it being much of a problem. I googled the FutureSplash movie label that came up with the options icon for the plug-in, and found other people are having the same problem with it. Where did the FutureSplash name come from? Is that from Adobe, or from someone else? I can always disable the plug-in, if I can't get rid of it completely.

I just tried disabling that old plug-in, and found I could not play a video at the BBC website. It asked me to install Flash player. I re-enabled the plugin, and it asked me activate the flash plug-in, and the video started. Looks like it's necessary to play anything on their iplayer website. Something else I just noticed, I'm getting that annoying pop-up message again at Facebook, telling me the player is full screen. I turned it off using about:config. Don't know how to shut it off.

That method worked, and the pop up was gone for some time. But, since I un-installed and re-installed Flash player, the pop up remains, and will not shut off with this method.

It is the drop-down list of downloadable files from Flash and Video Download 1.77, when you click on the blue arrow at top right corner. See pic. You have no different file names, just different file sizes listed.
