The reader view icon disappeared

I always use the reader view icon, whenever available. As of today, it has disappeared from all browsed pages, including those (e.g. NYT webpage) that used to offer this functionality yesterday. I started a new firefox page, to no avail.

Please update to Firefox 41, which should have the reader view icon. 36 is no longer supported. Update Firefox to the latest release
