Why does firefox have the memory of a gold fish

Firefox drives me insane, it has the memory of a god damned gold fish. Please give me one good god damned reason WHY FIREFOX MUST REVERT BACK TO ENGLISH (AUSTRALIA) And then it misspells all my words and tells me my spelling is wrong. Seriously your browser can't remember my Choice of English ( United States )??????????????????????????????????????????? Must be a real programming feat to do something so simple.

If IE didn't suck so bad I'd use it instead. Honestly the only reason I use FF is for the developer tools, other than that it crashes often, is a super memory hog and can't remember my personal settings. And when I say memory HOG, why does it constantly siphon 1GB+ of RAM????????????????????? I have a machine with 8Gb of ram and one with 16 and without fail FF finds a way to suck 1GB+ if I have more than 1 tab open.

Honestly it would be nice to have FF remember my Language ( spelling ) preferences, use less RAM, not CRASH. I even installed a plugin to monitor how much memory each tab is using. Most use about 4 to 10 Mb each. I am not sure how 5 tabs with no flash can use several hundred Mb of ram when each tab is only 4 to 10 Mb.

Do the developers of FF use FF for anything ?
