The "new tab" page tries to make the best use of space. Some users are zooming out (e.g., Command-) to squeeze more in, but that may make text too small.

I think the easiest way to customize the page is to use an add-on. This one seems to be popular and well-rated:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/

Note: I don't know whether this adds a settings button to the new tab page but, if not, you usually can adjust settings for extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Command+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then find the extension in the list on the right side and look for an Options button.

I am using a Mac. And I was not talking about "new tab page" , but about the "TILES PAGE".

Since you see a different page with tiles than the one I know about, what is the TILES PAGE on your Mac? How do you call it up?

If it is difficult to describe, you could post a screenshot of the page. This article has suggestions on capturing your screen: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut or blur out any sensitive information before attaching the image to your reply post.

Did you install a "speed dial" type extension that creates the tiles page? The steps for managing the settings for the extension would be similar to what I mentioned before using the Add-ons page, Extensions section, to look for its Options button.

I only know about this page, which is the one I call the "new tab" page: https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/media/uploads/gallery/images/2014-09-05-14-05-35-54b190.png
