Go ahead, say it. You reccommend another browser not repair FF. Does that mean new FF is unfixable? I can handle that if that's what you want.

I think the question is self explanatory. You recommend using a competitor's browser because you can't or won't fix the new FF. And if that is correct (as you said) I can do that.

What problem are you having with Firefox?

And getting these stupid replies doesn't even begin to solve the problem.

So it's off to try some new browsers. Ones that don't crash several times a day. And don't tell me it's my responsibility to fix your (Mozella Firefox) screw-ups.

Because if that is also the FF team attitude, I don't need it.

Also, to threaten me with the old firefox being vulnerable to attack is a very weak argument. My old Firefox never gave me any trouble.

I will use IE if I have to, don't want to, but will if the FF team doesn't give a $h1t.

What do we need to fix in Firefox? You haven't explained your problem. We don't want anyone to have to move from Firefox to another browser, but if you don't tell us what is wrong we can't help you.

I don't know how many times or how many ways I have to say it. The damn thing crashes several times a day and you (FF) recommends other browsers instead of fixing the problem. You must be part of the problem. Else you would not make these silly comments.

I don't know who suggested another browser instead of helping you fix your crashes, but that isn't the standard for support here.

If you want some help, please do the following:

  • Type about:crashes into your URL bar, press Enter.
  • Copy the crash ID's that start with bp- into this thread.

So you have a few different issues causing you to crash, which usually points to some system stability issues or something else going wrong on your computer.

This is going to require a bit of a shotgun approach, we will try a few different things and hope something sticks :)

First, Do the following:

Let me know if it still crashes after these steps :)

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Have done everything except reseting FF. I could better understand if my system ever crashed while not using FF. Of course I have no idea what all that gibberish in the crash report means. and I am sure that is by design, either by Microsoft or Mozilla or both. So, how do I reset FF without screwing up something else?

FF crashed again. I have no way of knowing if it crashed before or immediately after attmpting to send my reply.

These look like more pain in the ass problems. I am running Windows 8.1 with all the latest and greatest updates installed. The programs I looked at do not run on Windows beyond 7.
