I have vertical tabs turned on. Say i want to watch a movie, i press F11 or fullscreen to open it fullscreen. It makes the whole page fullscreen, but the vertical tabs remain still on the left. I want that fixed so that vertical tabs are hidden when its fullscreen.

Firefox is repeatedly opening many "previous tabs and windows". I looked for solutions on the Help and online.

I unticked the box "open previous tabs and windows" days ago and have repeatedly restarted Firefox and my computer since then. I have done all updates. I am using Windows 11 on a Lenova T480s.

I am over this and will switch to another browser soon if a solution accessible to me (ie I am not a techie and I don't have money to pay someone) is not offered.

Please note I find my browser history useful. I don't want to delete this on the routine off chance it may solve this problem that Firefox have invented.

The interface is terrible, it makes me completely unwilling to use the browser. Why make the tabs merge without any separation????!! It's disgusting!!

How can I change the tabs' appearance so they appear as individual tiles instead of a continuous view?

Hello- When I am on a website and click link I would expect and want a new Tab to open-- I want it to open it in a new Tab and leave the page I'm on alone so I can go back to the original page.

Instead, Firefox overwrites that page and the tab with the a new one, and I have to hit the back button to get back to that original page. And most often the back arrow button is grayed out and I can't get back at all.

In settings, I've tried checking the box for: 'Open links in tabs instead of new windows' but that doesn't do it. I've also tried checking the box, 'When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately,' and that doesn't do it either.

I know that a work-around is to hold down the Ctrl key while clicking a link, but I'd like to set it as a default so I don't have to do that. That's a pain and not a natural function when browsing. To be sure, I want to click on links and that creates a new Tab without Ctrl Keys.

Is there a way to disable tab groups without going through about:config? Because I can't find it and there really should be...I have no idea how that feature works, I don't want it, but I keep ending up with groups unintentionally. I still don't know how I'm doing it. It's incredibly annoying and apparently incredibly easy to accidentally trigger and I'm sick of losing tab space to these random colored boxes for no apparent reason!

when i booted up my laptop this morning i notice all of my tab groups were gone. i know how to get to where the tab groups are held, but when i click on the down arrow thing none of my saved tab groups appear. is there any way i can get them back? i used them for art references so theyre pretty important to me

As there is the option, to "save and close" a tab-group, I thought it would be possible to acces the group again, after closing. This seemed to be the case, as clicking on the often looked for little "v"-button next to the tabs, provided me not only with a list of my open tab-groups but also with the menuepoint "closed groups", clicking on which, the closed groups were listed. I was happy about the tool and started to use it quite intensely, creating more than 10 closed groups, to which I could add additional tabs, although the groups were closed.

Well, so far so good, yesterday I found out, that "close and save" is not really saved? It just doesn't have "Closed groups" (geschlossene Gruppen) anymore.

Is that behavior according to plan (not mine, but the developers one) Is there any way I could get the closed groups and/or the tabs in them back?

after the last update which was very nice btw.. I get two windows pop up of fiirefox browser with my remembered tabs. I added all to just one browser window and for a while it was fine. Now again two windows with different tabs are popping up when I restart the computer. how do I remove one of them

All my tabs (I think they're tabs - on the menu bar just below the main menu at the top left of the home screen - have disappeared. I checked history, hoping to replace them and the returned. But now they've vanished again. Also, when FF opens, email screen displayed is 'primary' and it says there are no primary messages. I've always used 'all mail' so I go to that site (which is in a folder on the menu which is below the address bar) and click on it to get to mail.

How can I restore the missing tabs which were on the menu bar just above the address bar?

I have been having an issue with Firefox acting up after taking a screenshot - it's not EVERY time, but I need to use screenshots enough that it's a noticeable issue.

After the screenshot is saved, suddenly clicking on tabs "selects" them with no way to "deselect" them. This prevents me from switching to a new tab and sometimes even stops me from typing in the search bar. I have found no fix for this other than force quitting or restarting my computer completely.

Any help or direction would be appreciated :)

Since yesterday every time i reopen my Firefox it is not loading my tabs that I had opened in previous use "Open previous windows and tabs" setting is enabled/marked and I have not made any changes in settings myself for this issue to take place. I am not sure why did this start happening out to the blue. But I have noticed when I use exit button via 3 bar drop down menu and then reopen Firefox my open tabs are there but when I use the "X" (top right corner) and re launch Firefox my tabs are gone. Is this the new "feature" or am I missing something

I use Firefox on all of my computers and they all have a plus sign next to an open tab to open a new tab, but on this computer I have to right click on the 5tab bar to open a new tab - how can I get the plus sign to show for easy tab opening?
