I am on release 140.12.1 esr and there appears to be no new updates available. If so, what release should I be on and can I just download and install to get back on the latest release

Why is it so difficult for Facebook to function like it does in Chrome. I am a Firefox user on Windows 11. Facebook should function freely and without having to wait for actions to complete. I want Facebook to work normally on Firefox. It should not function like I'm driving a Mack Truck. Firefox, you need to fix this so Facebook functions normally.

eg https://transportnsw.info/opal-view/#/account/cards is meant to show down arrow next to name - does not appear; go to Profile, Edit address - 'Save as delivery address' checkbox and Submit button do not work. Also had this on the StGeorge bank page https://www.ui.stgeorge.com.au/resolve/etb0/createCustComplaint - Next button does not work. other sites as well have buttons not working (about 20% of sites?) (Sorry both the above examples need accounts to test). Often (not always) if I open the page with Chrome it works. I think they were working ok after macOS update but after a Firefox update went to a very light screen - problem started then.

Also - using about:support the copy raw data button works; the copy text button does not.

My wife has a computer that hasn't been used for about 7 years and it contains a lot of emails that she would like to have on her newer computer.

The older computer has an older version of Thunderbird which doesn't allow the Importexport ng extension to be added.

Although I've copied her old profile, I can't see how to extract the emails from it into the newer version of Thunderbird on the newer computer. Is it possible and if so, how please.

A month ago, I raised this question, but there was no answer. The problem is still here, and forgive me for posting it again. Maybe this time someone experienced will see it. I'm a Chinese firefox user, so the following descriptions are translated and may not be so accurate. And the attached image is also Chinese, if necessary please use a translation app or somewhat to see it. I have only one default profile in my Firefox account, and I have stored a large number of passwords and bookmarks in this default profile. For certain reasons, I signed out of this profile while retaining the local data such as passwords—meaning that, apart from not being logged in, my browser state remains exactly the same as before. Now I wish to sign back in to enable synchronization. I can see a "Sync and Save Data" button prompting me to log in. After clicking this button, I am asked to enter my username and password, but then I receive a message stating that I have reached the account limit for this profile, and that this profile was previously synced to another account. This is absurd, as I do not have another account, nor have I ever synced this profile to any so-called other account. As a result, I am unable to sign in on this current profile.

I'm using Firefox 153.0 on a Windows 11 desktop. I'm trying to use the feature that backs up my profile (bookmarks, history, and other data). When I turn Backup on, I'm asked where to store the backup, and I accept the default of putting it on my OneDrive. When a backup begins, an empty folder named "Restore Firefox" appears in my OneDrive, as expected. Firefox shows a message like "backup in progress." After a minute or so, the "Restore Firefox" folder disappears. After another minute or so (not immediately), Firefox tells me the backup failed and that I should try again later.

I assume the backup failed because the folder it was trying to use isn't there, but why did it get deleted?

There is ample space on my OneDrive and on my local system (100s of GB). I am using the ESET security software package, but it did not raise any warnings or errors.

Hi - I am running Thunderbird release 140.12.1esr (aarch64) on a desktop Mac runnning Sequoia 15.7.3.

Thunderbird is set up to take addresses from my personal address book. When I bring up Collected Addresses in the Thunderbird address book, there are no email [or any other kind of] addresses listed. Absolutely nothing in Collected Addresses within the Thunderbird address book.

There are 21 email and other addresses listed in my Mac OSX address book. When I search my stored email messages, Thunderbird brings up each and every address that matches the string in my query. The matches appear to go back more than twenty years.

I have searched the web on how to clear the autocomplete cache. There appear to be several different methods. I have tried bringing up the matches via the string and the resulting query, and then scrolling through the matches with the down arrow key. When I reach an address I would like to remove from the autocomplete cache, I have tried clicking on various combinations of keys. These combinations include:

1) Shift + Delete keys 2) Option + Delete keys 3) Command + Delete keys 4) Option + Command + Delete keys 5) Just the Delete key

My intuition tells me the autocomplete cache must be stored somewhere in a file. I cannot conceive of the autocomplete cache being maintained across versions, hosts, etc. over a period spanning twenty years without getting stored in a file.

Please enlighten me on how to clear out the junk email addresses in my autocomplete cache.

While I've successfully managed to customize other elements (code below), I need help with identifying what to specify for the message header row.
