Mozilla Firefox will not accept my recovery code

I had a system crash and had to reset my PC to factory specs. I previously saved my Firefox recovery key so that I would be able to recover my bookmarks etc in case anything happened however when I tried to recover my info I kept getting a message that my key was invalid. I then realized that a 32 character key is necessary but my key is only 28 characters. Did I miss a few characters or do I have an older key that will no longer work? Any help or info you can give me on this will be appreciated.

The Firefox Account Recovery Key has always been 32 characters long

So Can you access the Firefox account and its email? https://accounts.firefox.com/settings

Do you have any other device like a smartphone, tablet, laptop that is currently signed into this same Firefox account?
