Firefox loading local files extremely slowly
Out of nowhere a couple days ago Firefox started loading local html files extremely slowly. I was using Live Server to render the pages, so I turned that on and off, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I tried dragging files in from the original folder on my computer, but even that doesn't work. I tried updating firefox, and then my computer (which is running Fedora Linux 40), but still nothing.
When I try hitting inspect on the page, it only loads the HTML but doesn't let me inspect the JS as it wont load, and it's saying I have a ton of errors too. I can't look at the errors because they wont load, but I know it doesn't have to do with the original file as there was only one error which the page was working fine with before and each time I try opening the file it gives me a different amount of errors.
I tried clearing my cache and cookies, which didn't work either.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm having no other errors on other pages.

Does the Network Monitor (Ctrl+Shift+E) show any failed or blocked connections, or unexpected response codes?

Nope.

Hmm, I don't recognize. https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/101
I may have gotten the number wrong, I closed the window right as it loaded. I reopened it to check again, and it hasn't popped up again but the page is still loading
Unfortunately, the Network Monitor only starts capturing when you open it, so after reopening it you usually need to stop the page load and reload (Ctrl+Shift+R to bypass cache).
I was right, it is error 101. I think this is an error with the code live server injects into the file, although it's still having issues with dropping the file directly into firefox. When I drag and drop it in it doesn't load at all, simply marking the URL as undefined, when I right click on the file and hit "open with firefox" it still loads slowly, this time firefox says MalwareBytes is slowing it down, then MalwareBytes blocks it, I disable MalwareBytes, and then it gives me the undefined error again
What Firefox version do you use? Is that a special version like Snap or Flatpak?
You can try Firefox from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution to see if it behaves differently.
