Fitrefox Toolbar
Hi!
Firefox - Great browser!
You should allow creating small icons for most used websites and be able to place it on the Toolbar.
In past there was an add on available but it was removed.
Or if there is an easy way to make such icons that when clicked opens the website.

That is already available by placing such links in the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Unfortunately the solution you mentioned doesn't work. Here's why:
-You are right that there is a Bookmark toolbar but if you have 2000 bookmarks and you want to just have a Dozen small buttons for most frequently visited sites, then it doesn't help.
-Two years ago there was an Firefox add-on that allowed to make custom hyperlinked buttons that resided on the Firefox Toolbar. Unfortunately with the Firefox update the add-on was deleted.
-There are many people in my circle who were using that happily.
If Firefox community can help will be great.

I understand how you feel. I didn’t like where Firefox Quantum was going. So, I stopped updating at v54. So far, no real issues. And I still have my Legacy add-ons.
I have noticed, however, that some websites don't work properly.
