I have several users who are migrating email from Outlook, and they want me to confirm if the Thunderbird export will bring over:

• drafts
• sent mail
• deleted mail
• any subfolders in the mailbox

I accidentally added a misspelled word to the Thunderbird dictionary.

Its a medical term and I really don't want to accidentally included the misspelled word in future emails.

Is there a way I can removed the word?

After the latest update, Thunderbird does not open. On line instructions say to erase some programs in it's file location. Did that, and the program booted. However, today, it will not open again. Can you fix this issue with another release, or should I try to go back to the previous release? If so, how to go back to the previous release without losing all my set up? When I start T'bird in normal mode, I get what you see in picture #1. Notice the custom menu bar at the top. I can still receive emails into the Inbox (but can't see or access them), and I can write an email, access the Address Book, Calendar, etc.

When I then start in Safe mode, with Shift key down, I get what you see in Picture #2. Notice that the custom menu bar at the top is gone. I have to recreate it every time I shut down and restart T'bird. That is unacceptable.

Please advise what I should do to correct this situation. If I can't, then I'm through with Thunderbird (after some 15+ years).

I'm currently using Thunderbird version 115.9.0. For the last several months when I detach, delete or save an attachment, Thunderbird will duplicate the email. I then manually delete the duplicate.

This didn't happen the first several years I used Thunderbird. Is there some setting I missed? Any solution to prevent this from happening?

I have both Gmail and Aol accounts on my installation, 115.9.0. My aol account is behaving funny. If I choose to display only unread emails, the screen goes blank and no messages show. I then click on sent message, click back on incoming and the messages reappear in the "all" messages display. The Gmail account is just fine, I can click between "All" and "Unread only" with no issues. Can't figure out what's going on.

not receiving emails on my PC using thunderbird ,only gmail not receiving but bigpond email receiving ok.gmail is sending emails ok.pop server settings seem right .only stopped receiving emails for my gmail account on 06/04/2024.a week ago.please help ,many thanks greg . ps i can still receive emails on my iphone though.

"Not sure what you installed and why. The Lightning add-on is no more. The calendar has been integrated into Thunderbird since quite a while. There is no need to install an add-on. "

So if Lightning is no longer valid - please remove old references to it!! How do I get the old plain calendar tab on????

how can i stop thunderbird from interacting with windows defender anti virus scan? when ever i download or delete emails i get a few seconds of "not responding " and the whole computer is non responsive. i used to be able to turn off real time scan in security and it would work for a day and then windows would enable it again. now since the last upgrade windows isnt allowing me that option any more. solutions?

I'm trying to use Thunderbird to access my work emails directly. They use Outlook Office 365, which I can use the webmail version of just fine, but a year ago they upgraded to Oauth2 and MFA and for the life of me I cannot get any version of Thunderbord to work with it anymore. I can send an email, but I can access any email on the server. Weirder still is the error console message suggest the program thinks I cancelled my password entry;

A: All these problems started after the new email version was installed, in-other-words, when the old version was updated! B: All of my email that was in my account / on my computer seem to be be there as far as I can tell. I can get to them, I can open them and see their contents. C: All is ok up til this point...as mentioned above and no new email has arrived. D: Now, as soon as I click on the "Get Messages" (Icon, looks like a cloud) in the upper left corner, is when I the Yahoo page of some sort pops on the screen, that's it. No mail arrives and I'm stuck with the Yahoo page covering most of the screen. E: I can click click around and try entering my email address but when I click on F: I see that images can be attached, and hope it works. My screen are,1920 x 1080, so I'll try and reduce the size of the images when I attach them. G: (Image A) After I inter my email address the red wording pops up.

it becomes vicious circle and normally going back to the first page. (Note: A image) [about:blank] ??? Other pages have an address??? H. In these 4 days I have changed, added, deleted, used my Mozilla Reset Key, and this morning, per Mozilla's - Thunderbird's request, created another Reset key. Still no email. I do believe If this Yahoo thing was gone my email might start, just a guess now. H. Will all of the email that has not arrive still be available?? I. Almost forgot to mention. Anytime I attempt to send an email in the CCC ONE application, I get this error message from CCC ONE:

"Unable to perform selected action while the email application is open. Please close your email application and try again."

This error message persists whether I do have Thunderbird open or not. I also checked Task manager while I had Thunderbird closed and found no instance of it running. Is there any way that Thunderbird is running in the background? Or could it be if Thunderbird loads at start up that it's tricking CCC into thinking it's open all the time?

I contacted CCC ONE report and they advised me to attempt to change the name of a DLL file so a new one would be created to replace it. I tried that, the issue still persists. They also told me to try and uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird, which I did, and it still won't work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Process is below: 1. I can successfully navigate to add-ins and choose and add-in to download 2. I can successfully click Add to Thunderbird 3. The screen in the attachment below is shown 4. I cannot get past this screen. If i click Add nothing happens and Thunderbird eventually shuts down.

I am using Debian Linux in a virual env on chromebook currently on version 115.10.1 (64-bit) of thunderbird.

Need to be able to download TBSYNC and the appropriate add-ins to get caldav and Exchange active sync to work. PLEASE HELP :)
