I am really getting tired of TBird resetting my all my default preferences whenever there is an update. One more time and, contributor or not, I'll abandon the app. I've lost critical emails in the past. This time it's reverted my Threads setting and there seems to be no way to get rid of these damned thread filings. I don't want threads. They make no sense for me and my correspondences get lost as they are buried deeper and deeper into the ooze of Thread world. Can somebody tell me how to turn these things off? And can somebody please, please, please tell Mozilla to stop screwing with my settings when they update!? And don't tell me they don't because we all know that they do.

Hi - I'm running Thunderbird version 115 and I'd like to export the filters from one of my iMacs and import them into Thunderbird 115 on another iMac. I don't see any mechanism to do that.

I dug around and installed the 'ImportExportTools NG' add-on but that will only import/export the entire profile (as I read it).

I'm reasonably handy with Unix if it comes to that ...

How can I get Thunderbird to instantly download all new mails from the server - instead of waiting for the standard mechanism of Thunderbird to download new mails?

115 continues to try my patience, but inflicting threading upon me goes beyond annoyance and into the reign of seriously disrupting my ability to use Thunderbird.

I've read some stuff here that I don't really understand. Is there any way to TOTALLY turn off threading for any and all incoming or stored emails? I found View ==> Sort By ==> Threads seems to have an option for "All" but that can't be unchecked.

If anyone can provide any help, I'll be quite grateful!

My email recently migrated from Cox to Yahoo. I'm not happy about it. I can't wait until Thunderbird has an app! Anyway, I had to change my imap settings but now Thunderbird isn't taking my emails off the server. How do I do that? Thanks in advance, Allison

I have Tbird 115.10.2 on a Mac with OS 12.7.3

I have two emails with Proton, one personal, one for work. I've created some mailboxes for the personal address and the same mailboxes appear in the work email, but without any emails in them. I tried renaming the work mailboxes, but then they disappeared. How can I create (and keep) mailboxes for the two different addresses?

Hello. I have a Zen Internet account set as my default account, but, when I go to write an email, the From address is based on my own domain barkas.co.uk, with the Zen address after it (see screenshot,) and I have to manually change it to my Zen email address from the dropdown address menu. Why is this and how do I stop it?

how do I change the "from" and "subject" font appearance in thunderbird inbox list view? They are currently a little bizzare with the sender appearing smaller than the subject line etc. I am not familliar with .css file settings and so will need to be considered a simpleton with any explanations. Any aswers I have seen refer to fire fox and assume that I know how to create the changes required or add a .css file somewhere. Thanks in advance. I attach a screen shot of my current inbox view . Hello, when I put a photo in the text or in the signature, the photo is attached in the destination email, if I add the logo photo and social media photos, they all appear in the destination email attachment. Even when the person replies to our email, those images are attached to our email. I have put all the settings on HTML and tested different modes, but my problem has not been solved and when I activate or deactivate 'Attach the signature from a file instead' the problem is persist or don't show picture correctly. What is the solution that picture show correctly in email and don't appear in attachment?

I have vision problems so i use enlarged text and color modifiers. The new mozilla thunderbird format SQUEEZES the text and shrinks it into HALF a screen. This is VERY difficult for me to even see… and navigat9ng thunderbirds menus has always been very difficult and not user friendly. Add to this the confusing reordering of emails received so that newer emails now stack UNDER older emails…. And its completely frustrating to find anything. I have to scroll down hunting for possible new emails burried down below dozens of others on a tiny scrunched window. PLEASE how do i change it back…. This is too difficult to function in………

I use TB 115 (currently it is up 115.10.2)

Whenever I receive an image as an attachment and I click on it and then comes opening abc image window. Since a couple of version back there is an image preview and the action buttons under them. In my case it is just trying to be. And I cannot change the window size, nor can I scroll in it.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Greg

I'm having some difficulty getting my email signature for my new job set up correctly.

I want the company logo to appear on the left, with my details to the right of the logo, as seen in the first screenshot.

However, currently, the text appears incorrectly underneath the company logo. I have tried pasting the signature into a blank email, generating the HTML code and pasting that into the signature text box, yet it still displays incorrectly when sending an email.

The HTML for my email signature is as follows:

I'm debugging other problems. I go to troubleshoot mode and come back and my fonts changed.

I head into settings to fix this. Attached the view of my change while debugging to make it really big.

This does nothing. Thunderbird doesn't change the font, the size, nothing.

I'm starting to think I'm losing my mind.

Zmiana domyślnego adresu poczty wychodzącej nie jest skuteczna. Pomimo ustawienia innego konta, wysyłka domyślna i tak następuje z konta, które zostało jako pierwsze dodane do programu. Innymi słowy używając klawisza NAPISZ domyślnie w polu nadawcy pojawia się adres, którego nie chcę. W programie ustawiłem inne adres wysyłania, niż ten który się pojawia. Problem wg forum jest znany od przynajmniej roku 2019...

Attached image, how is it possible that Thunderbird allows Bit Defender to install a spam add on and then protects it to so I can't remove the add on ?

This is just mind boggling.

Further, there is a "Why" link which should explain any logic to doing this, note there is not, and it explains nothing of the sort.

I have better things to do than run behind thunderbird to delete an extension which thunderbird has allows to "Can't be removed".

Is thunderbird with us ? or against us ?

Is Thunderbird ever going to fix the 'custom colours'? After the last major update, TB would not longer hold any custom colours. This is problematic because the colours offered are either too light or too dark to be read easily.

I have several mail accounts connected to my thunderbird Version 115.10.1.

One of them is a account that regularly notifies me if about updates on my homepage. I want to receive those emails, but I don't want a notification about them. I do however want to receive notifications about emails from other accounts.

How can I disable the notifications for only one account?

Using a watch face on my Galaxy Watch 6 (MD332 from Play store) that has a MAIL complication that is not updating correctly. Using K-9 Mail on my phone with GMail and Outlook accounts. Anyone have any ideas how I can get the MAIL complication to sync correctly with phone?
