Links have been going through linklock for some time. Starting today, every one of those is blocked with a bad certificate error from BitDefender. How to stop links in Thunderbird emails from using linklock? I would like to directly to the website.

I need to delete the use of a Primary Password on my wife's Thunderbird account on her Windows standard account. I'm an admin user on the same computer - don't use a Primary Password.

I've tried to use the Help Developer Tools process - openDialog("chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul") without success. Our Thunderbird version is 115.6.0. How should I proceed without affecting my Thunderbird account?

I would like to access the emails I received and sent under an account that no longer exists. All the data is still local, in my profile and I can see a partial preview of the messages when I run a search in TB, but double-clicking on one of those only returns a blank page. Can one have Thunderbird with the following privacy rights? • Erase my Personal Data now and in future; • Cease the processing of my Personal Data from the moment it begins; • Restrict the processing of my Personal Data from the moment it begins; • Do not sell or transfer otherwise my Personal Data to any third party at any time, including Amazon, for example. Is there a way to have Thunderbird and one's privacy rights respected? Perhaps installing Thunderbird without its email function? Please advise. I would have no objection to the entire Thunderbird array of apparently wonderful parts should what reads in its Privacy terms document as fast and loose personal data collection and flinging about -- with all due respect to all of you otherwise.

i am trying to access my gmail mail but cannot put my password in. went to your help but in -- account settings -- SMTP server -- authentication method -- it will not show OAth option. have checked cookies settings etc but nothing ????

att.net email uses a "Secure Mail Key" authentication method... and it seems each time I allow Thunderbird to update itself, it 'loses' my att.net email password, forcing me to go back to att.net and start over, creating what AT&T calls "Secure Mail Keys".

My other email accounts (e.g., aol.com) don't have any issues following Thunderbird updates.

Is this a known issue with Thunderbird updates, somehow specific to 'secure mail keys'?

I removed a gmail account from Thunderbird. It is no longer displayed. Yet every time I open Thunderbird I get gmail message asking me to validate my log in to that removed account. I cannot get into this new gmail account via google because I have used my phone number on too many other gmail accounts - this is tyhe reason gmail keeps pestering me. If it's not in Thunderbird then surely i shouldn't be pestered by google.

I have to maintain a number of MS Outlook mail accounts. Every day, sometimes more than once per day I have to authorize access to the accounts. What is causing this problem, and how to prevent? Is it a Thunderbird problem or a Microsoft problem? Thanks for your help. Paul

My Thunderbird email app quit receiving new messages 6/13/2023 and I've had to use a different way to get emails on my laptop (note that it works fine on my pc) I finally got around to searching for answers and noticed a Mozilla Support thread that mentioned if the Connection Security is turned to NONE then messages are received. This worked for me too, but it doesn't feel safe to keep the security turned off. What can I do?

I can't get emails from Thunderbird. It requires a change of pasword for mail.btinternet.com which I don't use.

I've used Thunderbird for years using a POP setting; Network Solutions would prefer that I use IMAP. I don't know the difference, but they must and prefer that it be IMAP (netsol-imap-oxcs.hostingplatform.com) (PORT: 993. When bringing up the settings in my mail account, it doesn't allow anyone to change that field. What can I do? I want to use Thunderbird; because of this particular setting I haven't been able to, and must instead log on to Network Solutions and go through their email interface. Thank you.

Comcast suggested I change my password, so I did. It worked on my laptop but not here on my PC, I can't access Tbird emails on the PC. It will not recognize my new comcast password. HELP

I've received a message from Google saying "We’re writing to let you know that starting September 30, 2024, your Gmail, Contact and Calendar account will no longer support less secure apps, third-party apps or devices that ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password."

Will this have any effect on my Thunderbird usage? Many thanks

After changing Spectrum email password cannot receive email. Spectrum customer service, after making corrections with their system, said to contact Mozilla support and request phone number or chat to continue (& do same for Apple email). Cannot FIND a Mozilla phone/chat.
