I am with shaw/rogers but use Thunderbird for email. I stopped getting my emails today. How do I fix it? Also when I send it sends but states it can not save to save folder.

On my new laptop I can't get convert to task working. When I click on this option nothing happens. Convert to event works fine.

This functionality works fine on my desktop PC

1. thunderbird refuses to save, acknowledge hotmail password. must reenter on opening program. dialog box remains until I manually close. Mail is processed. I can see my account behind the dialog box. mail comes in and goes out.

2. also - window opens behind email program with title bar off screen for google. must hit esc to remove. 2 screen shots attached.

I accidently deleted the password saved with Oaut2 for this mail account trying to fix this. thought it would ask for the password when i next accessed the program but no luck!

For the last few days, I am receiving only about 80% of the emails sent to me on my Thunderbird email. I receive the other emails on my ISP Squirrelmail web portal.

I have not set up any message filters on my Thunderbird email.

i have a problem with the number of no read emails, because look that is 9 the number of emails... and there are only 3 but in 3 different folders... how can i avoid that sum all or appear in "todos" (all msg) and importantes "(important")?

I use Owl to receive my emails on Thunderbird. This has been working fine, but stopped round about my renewal date. I have re-added all my account details and can get the data to come up, but it doesn't stay. Every time I close Thunderbird, so all the folders and emails disappear too. Please help. I have tried contacting the Owl Support several times by email, but they have not replied!

Running TB 115.7.0 on an iMac. I've made no changes to any of the setting recently. Overnight it stopped being able to send messages. Instead I get this error message:

"Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable Sender address is not allowed.. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

I have checked my email address in account settings and I have checked my SMTP settings and all seems to be correct. What could have caused this sudden change in TB's behavior and what can I do to fix it?

When I delete an email from the inbox, the others disappear for awhile, then come back (thermometer at lower right shows how long the delay will be).

But if without waiting for the thermometer I open another folder and then go back to the inbox, they're all shown without delay. Why?

Since update to 115.7.0 that took place on 1/22/2024, ALL my local folders are stripped of content and new emails I have put into a folder have disappeared when I come back to the folder. In one case, when I clicked on a folder, the emails were there and quickly disappeared within one second.

I now have none of the emails I have been saving on Thunderbird for more than 20 years!!!!!!! I was around when the first version was released.

I have spectrum webmail on the tb's homepage but it cannot send or receive emails from other accounts. It says "cannot connect to nycap.rr.com". Unfortuneately it never says why it can't connect.

I haven't been getting new emails for several days, and my sent mail is not going out. I'm on a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.4.1. and Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit). My isp provider is FRII and I've been able to read my mail on their program call SOGo.

Hi, I am using Thunderbird for years and this issue started to happen last week.

I am using a Teamup calendar as an external (readonly) calendar, this is the URI: https://ics.teamup.com/feed/ksrcmy4ajs6stupbg6/5826514.ics

Apparently, from last week when it is enabled, Thunderbird needs about an hour to start and memory rises to 3 GB. I tried older TB versions while I was investigating what is the issue with the strange behavior, from TB ver. 102 and later, but it is the same. At the end I found what was causing this memory consumption and startup slowness and I disabled the calendar and TB works well.

If you follow the link and download ics file it seams ok, it imports to other calendars lika Outlook, Calendar etc. easily.

Please investigate and update and I will send any additional info if needed.

While trying to import a .ics into thunderbird calendar an error occurs:

"Beim Schreiben in den Kalender Privat ist ein Fehler aufgetreten! Weitere Informationen stehen weiter unten." "Fehlercode: MODIFICATION_FAILED" "Beschreibung: Falls diese Nachricht nach dem Verwenden von "Zurückstellen" oder "Schließen" für eine Erinnerung angezeigt wird, aber Sie für diesen Kalender keine Termine hinzufügen oder bearbeiten wollen, so können Sie diesen Kalender als schreibgeschützt markieren, um diese Mitteilung nicht mehr angezeigt zu bekommen. Klicken Sie dazu mit der rechten Maustaste auf den Kalender in der Kalenderliste der Termin- oder Aufgabenansicht und öffnen Sie die Eigenschaften."

The .ics file was generated by calendar export from Thunderbird version 115.6.0 and the import is also being done with the same TB version. OS: Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia

I can import the .ics into other calendar software without problems, so it doesn't seem to be damaged.
