In the received message pane, unread messages are in a bold font, but, after reading a message, the font does not change back to a normal un bolded font. I have looked at every setting I can think of and I cannot get this to work the way it did in version 102. I am currently on 115.9 ,but, I may revert back to version 102 which worked without any problems. Can you help me resolve this problem?

I have noticed this the last few weeks, it worked directly after installing Thunderbird: This problem affects only newsgroups, but here does affect different servers. When I start Thunderbird the system pulls messages from the server without issue. I can then interact with the messages as normal, until the next pull happens (either automatic or manual via Get Messages). After this new messages show up in the lists, but if they had not been opened yet the contents of the message stay blank when selected, with "Loading message..." in the left lower status bar. This does not seem to change over time, loading the message never seems to end. At the same time composed messages cannot be sent, they are stuck at the state "Assembling Message" which they can't get out of.

My Thunderbird 115.9.0 message pane/Inbox font is set at 7px by default...too small for me. The Font Size adjustment under the "hamburger" does not work though the Density adjustment does. Per the known issue, I've checked layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and mail.uifontsize and they were both fine (not needing to be reset). I'm using Windows 11 Home, version 23H2. Hoping someone has a solution....thanks!

I add the new smtp for out going and incoming and i keep getting this messge. Not sure where the password is stored. I can go to yahoo and use the same username and pw i'm trying to use here and it lets me in.

I keep geting this. Login to server smtp.mail.yahoo.com with username topcleaninc failed.

Hello. My email hosting service, UK2.net, has changed it's servers. I've tried entering the new log in information to retrieve my emails according to the new IMAP details. I can't make the connection work. The mail servers don't seem to be recognised. I've included a screenshot of the connection page. Can anyone help? Paul.

Using the latest updated version on Windows 11. For some reason, selecting Read Receipt does not currently have any effect! P I don’t often need to use it but when I do, it’s frustrating to learn that it no longer functions. I know I can opt to make it ‘global’ but don’t really want to. All/any help gratefully received. What should I do, that would secure the emails from many years back. I can see my email account and the emails, which were there when the problem started, but I can't open them without destroying them.

I can read new emails on my cell phone, but i need a lot of the emails, which are there, but I cant open them. I really hope, that you can help me. regards Ester Gregersen Denmark.

Trying to delete an email account that is no longer used. System continues to attempt to read from the provider because I cannot remove the account and is delivering error messages every few minutes which is very annoying.

I've gone through Account settings>Remove account>Confirm remove BUT the only active option is Cancel. The Remove and More Info buttons are greyed out.

Hi, I have a nextcloud setup at home on my internal network. Whenever I am away from that network, Thunderbird bombards me with error messages because it cannot sync a specific calendar (An error occurred when writing to the calendar Contact birthdays! Please see below for more information.) This is the first calendar on the list of calendars so I think it just happens to be that one that causes the error. What I would like to do is have Thunderbird detect that it isn't on my home wifi and not sync the calendars. Is this possible? Thanks!

Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS and Thunderbird 102.11.0 (64bit) Archives in TB show 2021 and 2024 only but both are empty Archives.sbd contains 4 files: 1) 2021 (empty), 2) 2021.msf, 3) 2024 (apparently all missing emails are dumped here, but not in clear readable format) and 4) 2024.msf I did not intentionally archive the files; could be by accident clicking "A" but unlikely that I accidentally also had selected app. 3,000 emails. App. 60 mails were left (i.e. not archived) in inbox Tried to archive one file afterwards from inbox. OK, went correct to 2024 in the same folder as all the others. However, this mail was visible in Archives, 2024 in TB. I moved it back to inbox without any problem but strangely it still also is in Archives.sbd, 2024! HOW CAN I GET THE EMAILS (app. 3,000) FROM Archives.sbd, 2024 BACK TO TB?

I am trying to setup Thunderbird to work with my company Exchange account (have installed TBsync and provider for exchange tbsync). It works well but Thunderbird has created on the server sent/trash/archive/drafts folders instead of using the ones that exists, and thus I can't access my history when I am in Thunderbird.

Is there anyway to parameter this? I couldn't find any, there are only options to store in local or on the folder created by Thunderbird (see picture). Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hello. I receive messages, read them and then they disappear. I've been using TB for a long time, but there's a transition from IMAP to POP3, and it's been a mess since then. I DON'T WANT "pop3" :( I want IMAP :( I read opinions where people suggested deleting the .msf folder. I deleted + uninstalled TB. I installed it again, provided data for incoming and outgoing mail. They still disappear :( But I have messages from February in the SENT folder. Messages sent now also disappear. Why?

Since upgrading to version 115.8.1 I get unable to write email to mailbox . I have three email addresses in my profile. All are POP. One (from yahoo) always hangs and the other two fail intermittently. OS is Windows 10 64-bit at 22H2 level It doesn't matter if Zonealarm is turned on or off. I have over 300GB of free space on disk.

Full error message: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

But i couldn't access my mail account in ThunderBird directly. So to solve this problem, i followed a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpHdJZFISkQ (How to install and configure a mail server with Postfix, Dovecot, and Mozilla Thunderbird on Debian). I run this in the digitalOcean console: apt install dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d. But nothing changed. After that, i tried to access to ThunderBird manually :

Incoming server: IMAP- mail.example.com-993-ssl/tls-normal password-user

Outgoing server: mail.example.com-587-starttls-normal password-user. I could access the mail address but i couldn't send/receive mail to another user. How to solve this problem?

EDIT: I get this error message when i tried to send mail in ThunderBird: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.mechanima.com.tr failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit). I was able to send messages until just recently. Now when I send a message, it just hangs - no error message or anything (these are very short messages). I am able to receive messages just fine and send a message through webmail at cox.net

Please find attached a screenshot of my account settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Up until a few weeks ago around 70% of my messages were prefixed ***SPAM*** even though most were not. This was not a problem, as I looked at the subject and sender and decided for myself. I now get no messages prefixed ***SPAM***, I can however, get these with webmail. I did not change any settings, this just happened. I have tried playing with the security spam settings but this does not fix the problem. My computer runs Linux Fedora, always the latest version. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers Steve
