Been using Outlook, but am having issues. Decided to try TBird. Got the email part set up (far as I can tell). Calendar and Address book are a different story. Calendar: Using Google Calendar as primary calendar. Consists of an appointment, birthday, and holiday calendars. Created a new calendar and entered the URL for my Google Calendar. It showed up in TBird apparently OK. Created ANOTHER calendar and entered URL for Googles stock Holiday calendar. It also seemed to show up OK. Tried to do what I did with those calendars to add my Birthday Calendar, but Google uses data from Google Contacts to create that calendar. Can't figure how to add that data. HELP? Address book: Exported Google Contacts Data to a CSV file. Tried BOTH Outlook CSV and Google CSV exports. NEITHER produced a CSV file ANYWHERE Close to what TBird appeared to want, based on what showed up on the "fields" page that appeared after I chose the CSV filename. Moving data around in a spreadsheet is a Royal pain. Isn't there a Google Contacts CSV export file that more closely approximates the arrangement that TBird WANTS?

Hi.,
Cox cable just discontinued their email server and moved all it's email accounts to Yahoo.
I had been using Thunderbird successfully with Cox for several months before this happened.
I am able to send and receive emails now via my new online Yahoo server; however I have not
been able to connect / use Thunderbird to send and receive emails since the Yahoo changeover. I have tried many things, but I either get a "failed" error message or a "timed out" error message. Yahoo support has not been able to figure this one out. They are hard to get a hold of and hard to understand (communicate with). They are overseas from the US.
I appreciate any help you can offer.
Kind regards, Ken
I want to transfer all my outlook 365 PST files to Thunderbird. Can it be done?

Our small association has about 600 contacts, which have to be divided into several mailing lists, for two reasons: 1) Service providers limit the number of contacts per mailing and per hour or day.
Perhaps, a future version of Thunderbird could have autiomation that sends long address or mailing lists as batches of 50 (for example), with a suitable time interval between batches. Presently, these repetitive mailings have to be done manually, which leads to errors, of which the worst is forgetting to put the addresses in the Bcc field (which can't be set as default).
2) Our members have various non-exclusive functions and activities, such as committee member or participant in different activities, so that a given contact might appear in more than one mailing list.
Manually constructing these mailing lists, for example by drag and drop, is tedious to say the least. So would it be possible to provide a means of selecting contacts for a given list as a function of contact data? For some purposes this could be simply the position in the alphabet of peoples' names. We would use in addition the 'custom properties' fields (which seem to be limited to 4 when manually editing a contact). While this approach is identical to the one we use routinely with spreadsheets, I'm aware that spreadsheets are or should be banned for managing lists of contact data.
Accidentally permanently deleted many emails from my "trash" folder that I would like to recover. Is there an easy way to do that?
I wish to know how can I enlarge the Text on my screen.

I have several email accounts - a main one, and two or three subsidiary emails which I use for specific purposes. For the last week I keep getting a large popup saying "Mozilla Thunderbird Email wants to access your Google Account." Not only do I not want or need what this offers for this particular account, but whatever I do, it keeps coming back every few minutes, which as it is on top of whatever I am working with, is extremely annoying. It offers me "Deny" or "Allow" options - but slicking "Deny" just removes that popup - and a few minutes later it returns. Screenshot of the message attached. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it permanently, please? Many thanks for any help you can offer.

It all started about 3 days ago. I was having problems accessing my att.net email account on both my iMac running Thunderbird 115.10.1 and on my iPhone running iOS 17.4.1. I changed login password and was able to get the mail on iPhone, but not on the computer running Thunderbird. I got the settings information for both POP3 and IMAP from att. I first tried to go into Thunderbird and was able to find the email protocol settings and they were correct for POP3, but still not retrieve email. The error message I last received is, "Sending of password for user ******@att.net did not succeed. Mail Server inbound.att.net responded:[SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.

Why don't you just allow users to just right click on an unwanted email and block the sender? I'm getting so sick of spam that I thinl I'm just going to use gamil for everything and dump thunderbird - it's not a lot of use if I can't block a sender without having to open the email.

I had to change my Google account and therefore my Gmail password due to a reported security breach. I've successfully changed my password for Gmail on my iPhone and iPad but I can't on T'Bird.
I expected that when I opened T'Bird, I'd get an error message saying my password was invalid and then prompting me to enter the new password for my Gmail account. That's the way it used to work and it worked well.
Instead, I get some sort of useless error message about STAT (??) and my credentials are invalid. I get no prompt to enter the now changed password. I get no info as to WHAT credentials aren't valid.
So I opened the Password Manager, found the Gmail line, entered Show Passwords and then edit password. I entered the new password, double checked it and closed out the Password Manager. I get the same useless message about STAT. The old password was *not* the Gmail password.
I opened the Password Manager to find the password is entered correctly. Why is this simple operation so miserably difficult? The old method worked perfectly every time now this one won't at all.
Get Messages has stopped working. Help

As of today Cox is moving all email services to Yahoo. I have been using Thunderbird for Cox.net email. I have about 40 existing folders under cox.net. Yahoo now has Cox.net and is providing my new emails so I still have the same email address and can access it through webmail. What is the best way to transition this from the old Cox cox.net to the new Yahoo cox.net on Thunderbird and keep all existing folders? Thank You
Please call me at [removed phone# from public support forum] to provide tech help in setting up my thunderbird email. Thank you, Rich D'Ambrosia

I am trying to send out an emergency email asking for GoFundMe contributions to a very large amount of addresses. Thunderbird has suspended my ability to send emails completely. Please help, this needs to be done immediately. Here's what Tbird is now saying: "Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. The server responded: <wdr@nc.rr.com> service deferred. Too many recipients in a short amount of time. Please try again later. AUP#Out-1440."
I think this is unreasonable. I understand the need to fight spam, but this most definitely is not that.
