I found nothing in FF extensions add-ons to facilitate this program/app. FF won't work with JAVA files but they provided no alternative. LibreOffice is the only free Office-like program/app. that is currently up and working today that I can find on any list I've pulled via browser on the first page or two.

It is so confusing to go to Edge or Chrome to use it - and hard to move things from FF over to Edge to get to LibreOffice - can't follow what I'm doing that way. I want to use FF. I feel safer there.

I don't trust downloading from random sites. Bait and switch for files. Malware. If there are is a trust-worthing d/l workaround pls tell me. I;m not up on them - not in the loop.

I need assistive technology really - this is just a start for me to get organized. You can give me advise on what keeps you swift and organized if you can too. Appreciate that much too. Thanks for any help.

Updated to 98.0.2 last night or this morning, and now videos that are attached to or included in emails do NOT open/do not play. They worked fine before. Happening in both gmail and Yahoo! mail (sbcglobal.net). [I don't use Chrome nor Edge] I checked the download file; nada. Message from FF is "failed" Other MP4, WAV files etc. open an play fine - but Not if they are in an email

UPDATE 3/27/22 1913HRS. Just returned from my other residence; my wife's PC is still using 98.0 or 98.0.1 and it played the videos just fine. Only difference between our PC's is her's uses an 990x mobo and a GTX 960/4GB video card.

UPDATE 3/28/22 1047a.m. pst. Cannot download anything using Firefox 98.0.2. Just tried to download a short clip; Failed. Video drivers from NV website; Failed. A couple other things earlier but don't remember what nor where they were. Edge downloaded the video drivers just fine (again, had to dl to disc enable to use them.) jonzn4SUSE - did you get my email and have you had any luck ( or the time to do it) finding the problem/solution???

3/30/22, I just did a refresh of Firefox, it did not correct the problem. IS there any "easy way" to roll-back to version 98.0.1 4/10/22: I found the solution on my own after several hours of searching. Open "about:config", click "Accept the risk and continue" button; at the top click/select "show all". Find highlighted "browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel". Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. Fire Fox has taken to auto filling my password on my brokerage account. This leaves the account available to anyone that can turn my computer on. I do not have a password saved for the brokerage account and have the company listed to be excluded. This just happened in the last few weeks.

I'm getting a page asking for validate reCaptcha on every Google search.

Using Chrome or Edge on same computer(Win10) and same time I don't receive the page validation.

On my network I have the same behavior on others Win10 computers. All my computers have Kaspersky installed.

What I have to do? Some different setting?

Why can't I change the volume in one tab? During a meeting, for example, the radio is on, and it is much louder than the meeting, and you cannot adjust the volume of a single tab. This is very bothersome, not only in the above case. These pages determine the volume themselves. Some have regulations on the site, but not always. I am very tired of this problem. Are there any ways to change the volume of a given tab?

It has recently come to my attention that Mozilla may not continue to support Firefox browsers installed on Windows 7 computers after Jan. 2023, when the extended support for Windows 7 ends. Is that correct?

Will Firefox continue to work, but not receive security updates after that date?

Will Firefox still work on a Windows 7 computer that gets patches from 0Patch?

I don't want the pdf to save to disk without my will when I open a pdf file from any website. Fire Fox saves the file first, then opens it for reading. How to change it? I want to read the pdf first and then decide what to do with it. This works similarly in Edge. FF is my main browser, I wouldn't want to change that, but I have too much garbage on my disk. every pdf is saved first, completely unnecessary.

After firefox update to 100.0 - i can't use any of my addons, and cant install new one. All my current updates appears in "disabled" status, and there's no "enable" button. I have many addons, so it's the global problem.

Also, i can't install any of updates from addons.mozilla.org, i get message "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt". All addon xpi files are downloaded without problem using "save as", also, after clicking "install" on addons website i see download progress.

Please help to resolve this issue!

i updated the browser and now it is bouncing and hurts my eyes. Otherwise I guess I can delete it and use another browser but i really like this one. please advise thank you

I have used Firefox to access a site for an online bank, Synchrony. I was able to establish an account at this site and access my information. Now I sometimes can use the site but more often receive an error message, "Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login" on this server. When I spoke with someone in the Tech Support group for the bank she said the problem was with Firefox and not something they could address. I am able to get to my account using Microsoft Edge, as I have to to get to another site, Shockwave.com.

I much prefer using Firefox than switching browsers for certain sites. I would appreciate if someone at Mozilla investigate these anomalies and determine the appropriate fox within the app. I don't know what changes were made in Firefox when it was updated to my current version, 99.0 64-bit.

On Windows 7, vr 98 was starting in a second. Now vr 99 start in 9 second. On Windows 10, vr 99 start in a second. Will it be fix soon or how can I reinstall vr 98 AND keep my profile?

I've been through the usual listed issues, refresh, disable add ons (only one), disabled AV, clear all history, passwords, etc. Checked that the latest update is installed. Have done malware and virus scans with no ill reports. This can't be normal. What else can I try to resolve it b efore moving on?

I recently installed a theme that I really like, but the search bar by default is a blinding white color and it contrasts heavily with the dark blue colors in the theme I picked.

Is there a way for me to edit the background color and text color of the search bar to be a different color? I've tried looking at different solutions and most of them make reference to userchrome or something else I have absolutely no idea how to work. Can someone explain to me, in the most simple and hard to get wrong terms as humanly possible, how to change the background and text color in the search bar? Is this something I edit the theme itself for? How do I do that?
